It's nearly the end of the month which means it's time for another Polish Party post, which is a brilliant thing to participate in! This month's theme is splatter which took more than one attempt at Addicted to Nails... to make. Creating splatter through using a straw was attempted however it never seem to come out very well - there was a lot of large dollops of nail polish. Therefore another design was created, first the base colour:
It's been used a lot recently due to the fact it's so reliable to use, it's Sinful Color's Snow Me White. It's a great white base for art as it's opaque in two coats without any streaks or patches that appear to the eye! As for the nail art design for splatters, it's along the lines of paint splatters and drops across the nail seeing as the first few attempts didn't turn out all that great. Here it is:
It's turned into paint drops rather than splatters. Oops! The colour combination is really eye catching, they are all neon which is probably why. The exact names are; 230 Bonsai - Revlon, Zealous - Revlon, Sweet Tart - Revlon and Siren - Revlon. Apart from the slight hitch of the splatters not really turning out, participating in the Polish Party is really great seeing as they are off the wall designs that get created. Check everyone else's here:
These look great! We both didn't do the traditional splatter manicure and I love how yours has turned out! I love the pink splatter nail! :)
ReplyDeleteThe neon colours with the white base really stands out, the pink is my favourite one too! I really like yours also, when the traditional splatter didn't work I was considering a design similar to yours. :)
DeletePretty! This is a really nice twist on the theme, I like! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, it wasn't meant to be a twist but that's a great way of looking at it! :)
DeleteThese look great :D
