It's no secret that nail art makes rare appearances on this little blog but today is an exception. This is a simple nail art combination which has been used by many nail bloggers so I can't sadly pinpoint where this design came from - it certainly wasn't me! Spring has come to a close soon however my colour choice radar hasn't realised this yet, they are still a great love so they are going to appear today:
Aren't they a cute combination!? Well they are all pastels so they were all going to match anyway. They are 702 Marshmallow Heaven - Rimmel, 100 Pink Blink - Sally Hansen Insta-Dry and Huckleberry - Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine. So onto the base coat and then the design!Pink Blink is a brilliant pastel polish seeing as it's even and doesn't go streaky across the nails - which I was definitely expecting with this light pink. As well as this Insta-Dry have brilliant curved brushes making it super simple to create a great bottom edge meaning neat. (Hopefully much better than my usual bottom edges.) Onto the second wave of colour.
Another lovely pastel colour from Barry M's new Gelly Hi-Shine polishes which have been heavily featured on blogs recently alongside the new Spring/Summer collection. It was a dream consistency to apply and really opaque, the only annoyance was the shape of the brush for this design. It was straight edged! But this problem was solved with a simple dotting tool. Next is the final wave of colour.
Marshmallow Heaven rounds the nail design off nicely especially as the polish has a great curved brush creating neat edges. The polish solution itself was a good one to finish on as it's opaque in one coat (meaning no touch up coats) without any streaky areas. What do you guys think of the colour combination? And the design - anyone going to give it a go? It was that simple to do, it's spurred me on to more nail art...
