A litte dotty nail art: Grey Matter and Blue Eyed Girl by Rimmel with Kiwi by Barry M

The last two or three days has been lovely weather so much so that I've been sat outside in the sun doing work instead of wasting the summer sun by sitting inside. And today's nail polish post has been no exception to the new work space. It probably inspired the manicure rather than hindering it. So let's get into detail over today's nail art!

The manicure was started with a white base to contrast the art that was going to go on top, it was Snow Me White by Sinful colours. This polish is great for an opaque white base instead of it being slightly see through, however this one will need to be repurchased as it's gone slightly gloopy. Making it a complete pain to work with. Next up is the dottiture art on top, the polishes used here are; 840 Blue Eyed Girl - Rimmel 60 Seconds, Kiwi - Barry M Gelly Hi-Shines and 805 Grey Matter - Rimmel 60 Seconds. Both Rimmel polishes made this art a breeze seeing as they are curved making drawing a semicircle simple (it was a little bit trickier with the straight Barry M brush) then that was followed with a lot of dotting to create the dot pattern across the nail. This is easy just replicate the pattern if you want to try! Definitely found my right hand really tricky to do, still need more practise. How are you guys on your non-dominate hand? It's still slowly but surely coming...

  1. My blog is entirely showing my non dominant hand: I crushed a finger on my left hand and whilst the tip mended I wasn't able to paint that nail (i did the rest!) It gave me practice on my right hand!

    1. Really? That's amazing, I definitely couldn't do that! I do my dominant hand which goes well, then realise that the other hand has to look similar which takes way longer.

  2. Oh that is CUTE!

I'm a lot better at my non dominant hand than I used to be - it really is just practice. Although I do find that the brush makes a difference - wider, flatter ones are a nightmare on my other hand.

    1. Thanks! That's so true - a wide brush is fab on your dominant hand but a real pain on the non-dominant hand. I am fine now on just plain colour on my non-dominant hand but art isn't so good yet...

  3. Beautiful manicure and I love the beachy/surf shades you used! Such a beautiful dotticure for summer! Also glad you have been able to work outside and enjoy the beautiful weather :) xx

    1. Thanks, I was trying to go for summer colours but not the obvious ones so I think I may have chosen correctly! It's fab being able to work outside in the sun at the moment - definitely making the most of it whilst it lasts.... :)
